It's been awhile...

So it really has been too long and this is probably going to be a boring post because I am unprepared with pictures but I just wanted to try to get going on posting a little more! We have had a busy summer working hard and has been flying by and we are not loving that. Over the 4th we did a ton of fun stuff so here is a little update.
Friday we went and watched the USU fireworks. It was a blast because we got a bucket of chicken and just relaxed with our friends Brett and Faith and Mike and Kristen and their little boy Alex who is adorable. The only problem was that I had worked liked crazy that day on two weddings and so about two minutes into the fireworks, I fell asleep. As we all know, Andy is usually the one that falls asleep at the first sign of dark so it was quite interesting that the roles were reversed :)
Saturday morning, Andy woke up and went golfing with his Dad which he has wanted to do for months and I caught up on some much needed sleep. We met up with Andy's family and spent the rest of the day boating. I was so happy when Jen and Andy agreed to have a wild tube ride with me and we were all laughing so hard until we totally flipped and I ate it so hard! My face hit the water so hard I swear my eye balls were in the back of my head! Haha It was so fun to watch his little brothers water ski and his Dad wake board for the first time. He picked up on it so fast and was showing us all up before we knew it.
Sunday, we had my family over for a BBQ and some fireworks. Andy always told me he was a little pyro growing up but until I handed him a lighter I had never seen it first hand. He was officially 10 years old again. I was so excited to see my little niece Scarlette watch our fireworks but she did not react the way I thought. She was not loving them and just stayed snuggled up to Britt. My Mom stayed over that night and I just love having her around because I miss not having her really close.
Monday Andy headed to Bear Lake with the boys to work on the cabin and I headed to the Hyrum parade with Sheri and Kenz. I swear all anyone was throwing out was salt water taffy until... drum roll please... firehouse came by with phzookies! Kenz and I freaked out and couldn't believe they were handing them out so we ran right up and grabbed one. Apparently not everyone else was quite as excited. We looked like we were five years old. Haha Afterward we joined the boys in Bear Lake and had tin foil dinners and relaxed in the hot tub.

I think it's safe to say that the weekend was a blast and just what we needed. I love when we get to see both of our families and be with each other. I hope everyone had a safe, wonderful and fun-filled weekend too.

New Beginnings...

I have been working at Wells Fargo for the last year or so and it has been a great job but I did recently graduate in public relations from Utah State and applied on a whim for a job more applicable to my degree. Well lo and behold I got the job! I am going to be an events coordinator at the Riverwoods Conference Center here in Logan! I will be planning parties, banquets, quincineras you name it! I am probably most excited about the fact that I will be planning weddings. This is something I have always wanted to do and I am so greatful I have the opportunity to work in the field I graduated in. I have just two days left at Wells and I have made some amazing friends there so I will be sad to leave but I am excited to start a new chapter. All of my current co-workers have been so supportive and have made me feel very loved. Andy has been so supportive in this whole thing as leaving my very comfortable job was a hard decision. I am so greatful he is a worthy priesthood holder because he was able to give me a much needed blessing which made me feel at piece to make my decision. I start on Tuesday so wish me luck :)

Under the Sea

Yesterday we went down to the Aquarium in Sandy. Colby had been wanting to take Tayen there and we were all itching to get out and about so we loaded up and headed south! When we pulled up the aquarium, Andy was like uh this looks like a grocery store (truth be told I think it really used to be a grocery store) but once we got in there it actually turned out to be pretty cool :) Unfortunately my camera was taking craptastic pictures so sorry about the blurriness. I need a new camera DESPERATELY and my Mother in law's is fabulous so if you see me turning green with envy that would be why! haha
The husband and me! I told him there was an orb on his head in this picture hoping to freak him out and Andy's response: "What's an orb?" haha

Andy and Colby jumped right in when it came to petting the sting rays! Tayten... not so much. Hey it's ok Tate, I was nervous too and let out a little scream once or twice before sucking it up and going for it!

Welcome, Welcome

Hey everyone! It's official, I am done with school! Woot! Woot! I am hoping I will have a little more time now to start and maintain a blog so here's hoping! Right now I am working at Wells Fargo as a teller and Andy is still working for his uncle and grandpa at Tec Electric. Andy has just three semesters left in the landscape architecture program which is incredibly exciting for us. He is such a good little student. I'm not kidding - he loves to learn and do his homework.  Its actually a little overboard sometimes but his hard work really pays off.

I have had so much fun during the holiday break just spending time with him without either of us having to worry about school. We recently bought our first home and I had so much fun decking it out for the holidays! Andy had to keep me under control because I am a Christmas FREAK! I saved up money in the months leading up to December so I could buy some really cute stuff. Andy came with me (probably to make sure I didn't do too much damage) and before I knew it he had the Christmas bug and was picking things out too. Most guys really couldn't care less about what their wives put in their house but if any of you know Andy, he sure does care and he will let me know if he is not digging something. This little quirk, I must confess, I kinda like about him :) Anyway we usually go cut down our Christmas tree in Bear Lake on some friend's property but this year there was just too much snow. So for the first time in my life, I had an artificial tree. Not gonna lie it kind of hurt my heart not to have a fresh tree but I got a yummy tree smelling scentsy that helped to soothe my pain. We have had such a good time with our family and friends so thanks to all of you for making our holidays so fun! We hope all of you will enjoy following our little journey and we will try and keep you posted on what's new with us.
